Creating New Futures Together – A Public Open Forum

Open Town Forum

October 27 2017

Joy Warmington, Dr. Ellen Schupbach, Dr. Max Schupbach

An intergenerational dialogue across diverse communities in Birmingham

Join us for an evening in a facilitated large group Open Forum setting, where we work together on how to find new ways of living together in our diverse city and nation. How can the different generations and communities create new ways of  collaborating that has room for British values and integration, social justice and fairness, pride of the diverse communities and their traditions, so we can develop and grow professionally and as communities into new futures.

The evening will open with short, five minute speakers representing various conflicting viewpoints on these topics. Speakers will represent older and younger generations from different communities. These short introductory speeches will be followed by a facilitated Open Forum, making room for the voices that are in the room to be heard.

Please come and share, debate, and learn together for a new future way of living together!

The facilitators are Joy Warmington, the CEO of BRAP, a Birmingham based organization that aims to transform the way we think about and do equality in the UK, and Ellen and Max Schupbach from the Deep Democracy Institute, an international group with a focus on facilitation and public dialogue with local organizations in East Africa, Europe, Russia, South East Asia, Ukraine and the USA.
